Consulting to trading

Hello,

I'm a first year consultant at a large consulting firm (BCG, McKinsey, Bain,...) in Belgium.

I have a masters degree in mathematical engineering, and i was wondering what my chances are to get into trading at a BB bank?

I'm looking for a more math oriented job, and consulting isn't quite the fit for me. I heard that jobs in structured finance were very math oriented, anyone any information on that matter?

I also wondered what the views in the US were on a Master of Science in engineering, because over here it is considered the hardest degree you can pursue, but I don't know the system in the US.

jeans, what exactly do you want to do in trading?

if you want to be a quant, you might want to go for an mfe or something similar. princeton, haas, cmu, chicago, etc. i'm guessing you have a competitive profile. these are expensive degrees though.
