Conversion Rate S&T SA Intern Barclays London

Hi,

I recently received an offer from Barclays for this summer as an S&T Summer Analyst. I don’t have professional experience in Markets yet, although I have strong results in several hackathons (Citadel, Jane Street, etc.). I’m currently in the penultimate year of my studies (HEC Paris, with prior MEng in Quantum Physics).

I’m concerned that if I don’t convert this internship into a full-time offer, I will have to compete next year with students who have 1+ years of experience (2 off-cycle instead of 1 summer internship (common in Paris)), which makes me worried about my chances in the job market.

Am I right to be concerned about this, and should this make me reconsider accepting the offer?

Also, do you know what the average conversion rate into a full-time offer is?
