Currencies & Emerging Markets Trading - What Does the Desk Do?

Hey guys, hope everything is well.

I have been invited for an interview for a Currencies & Emerging Markets (CEM) Trading Summer Analyst role at a BB.

My basic understanding of the role is:

  • I will be covering Asian Deliverables and Non-Deliverables since I am on CEM Asia Trading Desk
  • I will be exposed to various products from vanilla (FX spot, forwards, NDFs, IRS, NDIRS, etc.) to exotic like customized structured solutions

Please correct me if I am wrong.

I was wondering whether there is anyone who is familiar with the desk/role and share their experiences. What will be a day-to-day life like for a summer analyst on CEM Asia Trading role?

Also, what kind of interview questions should I expect to get for the interview (e.g., Greeks)? I will be interviewing with 3 EDs of the desk for 30 minutes.

Any help would be great and much appreciated! Thank you in advance for the response, have a wonderful day!

Good luck, sounds like an interesting desk - curious which bank this is? Is it common to interview with a specific desk before the internship, haven't heard of that before
