Finviz.com has some great looking charts. Excel does have the flexibility to make them look however you want, so you can create the aesthetic appeal you're looking for.
Are you implying MT4 is better than Bloomberg for charting? I find that shocking. Then again, I've only messed around with a terminal at school.
Here's a ranking of some of the more prominent charting softwares I've used: eSignal> ThinkorSwim> Freestockcharts> MetaTrader(FX only)> Interactive Brokers> Oanda online (FX only)> Finviz > Stock charts
I'm yet to give TradeStation a try, but I've heard it's great.

Ycharts has a lot of data that can be charted. I second Finviz and Bloomberg
I doubt anyone can top this: http://www.freestockcharts.com/
definately stockcharts.com
freestockcharts.com
If talking about trading platforms, the new Esignal or Bloomberg
For FX: MetaTrader hands down. I have Bloomberg access and it simply does not compare when it comes to MT for charts.
