EXIT OPPORTUNITIES FOR USD SHORTEND RATES, BASIS SWAPS, AND SWAPTIONS

Hello everyone! What re some good exit opportunities for someone in USD shortend rates derivs trading? And what is a good timing for a switch? And how is that business in general? Outlook?

Exit ops would be at macro hedge funds and multi manager pods, where macro drivers and understanding rates products would be important. Not sure if its a true "exit op", because you would basically go from trading rates at a bank to trading rates at a hedge fund like citadel or capula, but you can take more prop risk and make a lot of money if you are good. If you don't like trading, you might not like this either. Options outside of trading would be stuff like treasury department, fintech, etc. although that would likely involve a paycut.
