Finance and Art
I know I've already posted this on other boards, just want to get everyone's insight.
Anyone here on the finance side of the art industry? I have been interested in this topic as of late and am struggling to find any detail on it, other than a few articles online of a shop or two. Another user posted on the this on the Jobs forum but it didn't get much attention: http://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forums/investment-b...
Would be curious to hear how people get into this industry, comp, average work day, hold period and returns, etc..

The only finance perspective on this I know about is the insurance business. Places like Sotheby's will insure stuff like art, but investment wise I think you just buy it and sell it
