Flow Traders vs MBB
Which would you guys pick? Received offers from both. Got rejected by IMC and turned down Optiver last summer (so Optiver's no longer an option I guess).
I understand that Flow's comp is > MBB, but is it a wise move to head to Flow given the 'prestige' of MBB?
Would appreciate any advice!
Theyre completely different careers. Defision shouldn't be too hard once your figure out what you want.
Depends on what you want. Honestly, I'd say go to Flow (they have a nice office from what I remember). You can always go back to consulting, but you can't really go back to QT.
Why did you turn down Optiver?
If Optiver was interested last year....why wouldn't they be interested this year? Do you think they are a jealous ex-girlfriend?
Is it common to get a FT offer from the same firm you turn down an SA offer at?
Echoing statement above, if you got an offer last time, you should be able to get one this time. Moreover, some competitors automatically give offers to those that turned them down previously.
Why did you turn down Optiver? In terms of reputation and comp, Optiver > IMC > Flow.
Trading and consulting at MBB are completely different types of jobs. What do you want to do?
