From Engineering to Trading (EU)

Hi everyone! Im studying Mechanical Engineering (2nd year) in Greece (so non target ofc) but i found out that Engineering is not for me. Fluid dynamics, thermodynamics etc are really boring. I want something more challenging. So, i would like to become a trader. Some relatives do forex trading (mainly for fun) and i really like the whole concept so i want to be a professional trader or work where trades are happening (=HF). Im considering doing an MBA or a Master in Finance when i finish Engineering in France or UK (these are the only foreing languages that i know) because i do not know much about the world of investments.

  1. Which EU country would you suggest me (i say EU, because i cant go to USA, Canada or Australia - Visa issues)? Should i start learning german for expample (Frankfurt is a big financial center)? Netherlands and Switzerland are good places too. What do you think?

  2. Can i actually get a job in a HF? What are my chances? I hear that i should go in IB first, because HF hire only ex-IB guys. Is that true? I find IB really boring though...

Thank you in advance!!! Ignore any mistakes :)
