Front Desk Quant in BAML vs Quant Strategy Trader in Knight

For Knight it is the electronic trading team, I will do HFT stuff there. For Merrill Lynch it is the FX trading desk. It is a front desk quant role. In terms of the base salary and sign on bonus, Knight is 30 % higher than ML. Anyone know the typical bonus for the two roles? Which one will you choose?Which one will be more profitable in next several years? Thanks.

Is the quant FX desk at ML prop? If so....I'd go to Knight, pretty sure this reform is going to pass in the next year with the prop limiting component of it.

If it's their FX desk sounds like Flow Side developing strategies for both the firm and clients. I'd go with BAML.
