Getting to Wall Street, What to do??

Background: I’m a 23 yr old recent college graduate (University of Miami 2010) BBS Major: Finance, Minor Management (Cum GPA 3.6, 3.8 major/ minor GPA (sociology, geography, and sports injuries B-‘s really put a damper on my cum) Brief Past experience: Brief 2 month B2B sales job for at&t solution provider (made around 1k/week in commission that I never ended up seeing (only got paid first $100 of each commission) b/c of home office pulling some out of territory illegal sales… lawsuit pending… not expecting anything to come of it) Internship at Brightstar Corp. Miami FL (5 months as assistant to chief of staff, 1 day a week) Worked for my dad’s company (General contractor high end homes in Central NJ) for two summers. Situation: I am currently employed as a Manager for Abercrombie and Fitch. I felt it necessary to stand on my own two feet and wasn’t going to move back in with my parents so I took the first job that paid me. I can’t stand to listen to the same 15 songs on constant replay spritzing cologne 5 times a day, and I honestly hate folding clothing and yelling at 18yr olds to stop texting, also I’m getting quite tired of my General manager (who’s 25 and graduated from a community college with a degree in Dickheadness) telling me about all the amazing opportunities there are at the company and how his salary is great and maybe someday I can get his position (60k some big ambition he has).

I’m a smart individual, who is looking to make it on Wall Street, I plan on saving up some money so I can move back home Central NJ and really get my career going. I wouldn’t call myself a genius by any stretch (especially on this site) however I am very smart, Math minded (love mental math tricks, logic tests, riddles, etc.) I know I can make it I just would like some advice on where to start and what to do to really land a top job. I’ve had 1 interview with DRW Trading that went worse than I can even explain (2 days after 4 impacted wisdom teeth were removed my 2 Vicodin’ed self surprisingly sounded pretty stupid ) after blowing some mental math (really really bad, Mixed up two Digit X Two digit tricks and gave an insane answer) the interview snowballed into oblivion. I’m looking to nail the next one and make it impossible for them not to bring me on board.

I’m interested in prop trading and wealth management. I’m looking to get my foot in the door because once I’m there I know I can succeed, any advice on books to read, websites to check out (I always scout glass door for interview questions) and what I should know and how to impress to get into prop trading (especially since I’m no ivy Grad and no I-bank experience) and any firms that I should look into. Thanks in advance, any help is appreciated and I’m always looking to get better.

Edited: for rebelcross. =) Those were important facts to validity my humor, for the sake of this post ill remove them. Thanks for your input however.

HFFBALLfan123Delete the picture of yourself.... i am getting creeped out trying to offer advice with you starring at me...

I hate this new fad of putting one's picture going on in the industry now. It started on linkedin and I didn't like it then, now it's making it's way to WSO with new people who don't understand what the site is all about.

Just for the record...my new picture is not me...I really hope I didn't need to say that
