Nope, not true.
I think they have most of their energy traders in NY, mostly marketers in Calgary. Heard their head Canadian phys trader quit last year, somewhat recently landed at Citi.
Bump, does anybody know what the IBD team in Calgary and if they are involved in any significant deals this year + outlook for the future?
They did some major deals in the last 2 years, during the JV and foreign investment run. Will not be as busy at RBC/CIBC. Very good shop, very small, horrible horrendous hours, good pay, easy on expense policy, oh did i mention the hours stink? Actually every top IBD group in Calgary the hours suck.
