Goldman Sachs: Securities Division Management & Strategy Function?
I am currently looking at an ED/VP position in GS' Securities division (cross-divisional) in their Management & Strategy function. From extensive Googling, this appears to be an internal consultative function/group present in most (all?) GS divisions, but I cannot find a definitive description of their role anywhere on the GS website.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist in development of client penetration / market share enhancement / product expansion plans
- Support business teams in identifying opportunities related to new products, new markets and market reforms
- Interface with teams across the support areas of the firm to coordinate interdivisional activities and deliver successful project execution
- Management reporting and budgeting for securities businesses
- Develop communication materials related to our securities business and strategy including Town Halls, senior management updates, and other ad hoc requests
I was wondering how this was viewed internally -- is this essentially a Corporate Strategy type role or is it viewed in a lesser light? How might it be valued relative to other functions within Securities from a compensation perspective? Any insight is much appreciative.
HK?
Yes, HK.
Any other insight here? All is much appreciated.
looks like a marketing job
