Good mock trading platforms?

SBs available for suggestions of good mock trading platforms.

Looking for a "closed" platform that allows pre-defined "markets", with trading limited to invited participants, and possibly noise traders. Something like the Rotman platform, but hopefully something free (though cheap is fine). Preferably, platform allows for algo trading as well. Any thoughts?

Thank you for the suggestion. However, I don't think I made it clear what I am looking for. I am interested in something that has no connection to the actual markets. I want to be able to create a "security" and have incited participants trade it (for example, celtics winning playoffs, or getting into playoffs), and to have the system be self-contained - changes in price are based on actions of invited participants. Thanks for the suggestions though, I will look into them to see if they do that.

Metatrader brings you the oportunity to do exactly what you want. It's free, its language is very intuituve and many retail brokers offer it with their demo account.

It's hard to find a good virtual trading service that's free and offers a wide range of products to trade. I'd recommend NinjaTrader's free paper account. If you want to go paid ($15/month), I'd recommend StockTrak.
