Misinformation on this platform
Let me start off by saying that I am not mad, I am disgusted.
The Issue:
There are members of this website who are questioning whether or not they should be vaccinated immediately, whether or not we need to wear two masks, and worst of all whether or not lockdowns are beneficial to society. This is all anti-science propaganda and is not in line with the teachings of Dr. Anthony Fauci. I suspect that those posting these threads are privileged and likely participated in the insurrection of our beloved Capitol, which was the worst terrorist attack in the history of the United States. It is also a fair assumption that many of them are T*ump supporters.
The Solution:
Ban these persons from the website, permanently, full stop. They can not continue to be here spreading misinformation and hate speech.
What can YOU do about it:
If you are a mod you can ban them. If you are a normal poster you can shout down their threads in the comments and throw MS.
This website is turning into that Parler app and I won't stand for it. We have to work together to rid the internet of these people and to keep WSO a safe space where people can be properly informed.
It is fairly common knowledge that some (not all) people who work in finance are conservative. But conservatives also work in the legal field or in automotive. Or elsewhere. And they also go into other forums and might have a different view than you or me. I am not sure we can or should do something about that.
Not going to comment on the scientific side of your post because I am not informed on this topic at all (been in lockdown since March 20).

See, people keep saying this but many people I work with are more moderate or liberal-leaning - and, no, I do not mean progressive (since so many on here can only think in dichotomies). Most have received the vaccine or are looking to get it. I am often surprised by the demographic on the off topic forum.
I think it’s safe to say that those on wso should ease off on the proselytizing about topics they don’t understand such as science, women, etc
