Got some cash - where are you throwing your money?

Dow is tanking this morning and gold is skyrocketing.

The gold bubble has to come to a screeching halt sooner or later. How are you playing it?

Where are you putting your money? Short term? 1-5 years? 10+ years?

wait for the debt agreement to pass and market be up 200 points that day since this is all political jousting right now

i like emerging markets and semi developed ones with strong 'producer' status in terms of commodities like australia brazil canada, large multinationals with exposure to growing consumer base in developing nations, commodities but more so the miners or equities that are in that space, biz development co's, high yield funds, a nice structured product that gives me 17.1 percent return in 2 years as long as the spy is above 131.64 and if its up higher i get more than that.. i have a bunch of cash sitting in SPY that i got at 104.64 that im figuring where i want it to diversify out to.. fund of funds/actively managed funds...

Well I do say, good call. haha

shorttheworld, do you own any BDCs?

Under my tutelage, you will grow from boys to men. From men into gladiators. And from gladiators into SWANSONS.

go long on companies that have been hammered for short play News corp after all that needs to come out comes out, it's a strong strong buy. But if you want to go longer, google is undervalued since all of their investments in random stuff such as renewable energy or other things have not turned up and hence have not been accounted into its price.

I do not do anything outside of U.S. so couldn't help much on emerging markets and such.
