Has anyone had any experience with Maverick Trading (prop shop)?

I have been trading for 3 years on my own and am interested in becoming a funded trader. Any experience or strong advice would be helpful.

Stay away... I would say go for it if you were good. Listen, you can spew whatever you want and call yourself a trader... I've traded for 3 years blah blah... No... If you were good, you wouldn't need to be funded. Stay away, spot FX is a very hard product to trade and you will get killed. Algos dominate that market. Save your money, go to school and keep backtesting cause it doesn't sound like you have confidence in yourself.

Lol I've traded equities, options, spot fx and futures, and currently trade futures. I do have a system and follow it with my own risk management system to success. I do not have the capital amount to scale this strategy out, and am not interested in "yoloing" large position sizes either. You are right that algos dominate fx... but ultimately, fundamentals will trump in the end and that is what I trade. No need to be condescending, I was just asking a question.

It is good that you have a strategy that works. I would get a job that pays descent and still provides you the ability to trade. Should be real easy to do with futures, trade first shift work second shift. If your strategy works you should be able to build enough padding to trade full time. Otherwise, if you want to try out Maverick, apply and see what they offer. And please report back your experience, it would be great for others to find out.

Best of luck!
