How did Goldman Sachs commodities head Emerson made $100M in last three years?
I've always been curious to know how is the payout structure/bonuses of traders at IB get? How did Goldman's Emerson earned more than it's CEO? At JPMorgan, the associate level traders have a base pay of $100K+, but I've never found how much bonuses do they get?
According to bloomberg's recent news, there were several other traders at Goldman who made 8 figures in last three years. What are the background of these people?
you're comparing associates to a very senior partner (the global head of a business unit)? a better proxy would be the head of equities or ficc at JP Morgan. and he was paid handsomely because he stayed loyal and commodities had a couple blowout years
I imagine the higher up you get the more your comp is based off your desk's performance
