how different are quant trading and trading at an investment bank

I know the obvious differences. What i mean is... Is quant trading really more about math and having a passion for math and trading at ib more markets based, some math, coding, client relationships. Would quant trading not be a good career for someone who does not like to solve math problems on a daily basis. I like poker math and mental math but like I don't get off by solving complex fourier analysis or finding proofs. I like more the markets/current events aspect and seeing how asset classes react. Are there any prop shops which are more about this and not all Math mAth maTh matH i mean Stats sTats stAts staTs statS
