How to break into Prop trading

My most previous post was about target schools for prop trading. I have learned there is no real target but the individuals ability to be able to do the job. As I am researching prop trading I am starting to believe STEM is the best root to break in. What majors would you guys think is the best for prop trading? I am also hesitant going for a STEM degree and then not liking trading. Do you guys believe STEM is still the best route because I know I want to work in finance. Do you believe STEM degrees can be useful in other parts of finance besides prop trading maybe S&T? I am starting to believe that if I go to a STEM school and to go there b-school and get a physics, cs, or stats for a minor would be the best low risk option. For the colleges I am looking at for STEM I will have to attend a lesser know b-school. I do believe prop trading is the best job for me but at the slim odds it isn’t do you think I should take the risk with going to a focused STEM school or play is more safe with a STEM minor while going to a better known b-school? Thanks!
