How to prepare for institutional equity sales and trading role?

I recently graduated college and start a full time role in the institutional equity sales and trading division of an investment bank in July. I am wondering what I can do in the meantime to prepare for the role? Everyone I have networked with has just recommended that I take time off until my start date, however I want to be as prepared as possible when I begin the job. Currently am studying for the series 7 and keeping up to date with the financial news. Any other recommendations on how to prepare for the industry?
