Internship from target school

I go to a target school, and i recently thought of going into S&T.
I am a junior, and I don't have much finance background.
Is it too late to prepare for next summer's S&T internship?
When does recruiting usually start?

Thanks!

Recruiting is beginning now. You have plenty of time. You can check on your on-campus job board for recruitment session times, internships, etc. If you're at a target (especially HPY) there will be some kind of an event every few weeks from firms like GS varying in terms of group, event style, etc.

If the recruiting is beginning now, would I have time to prepare for all the interview questions and S&T concepts.. Could you suggest as to how to start learning about the S&P trend and stuff? I plan on visiting the school's career office sometime soon. Thank you so much for the help!

Sure, it's more about demeanor in interviews than prerequisite knowledge of finance. However, you should have a general interest and story that corroborates that. If you have limited time maybe pick one area of S&T that you think you may have an affinity for and push that in interviews; it'll give you an excuse for your ignorance in general.
