Is an MsF a viable option to break into S&T?
I'm a freshman at a non-target studying finance, economics, and mathematics with a 4.0 GPA. I want to work in fixed-income sell-side trading. While I have applied to transfer to multiple target schools, I doubt if I will receive admission given my mediocre high school GPA. If I stay at my current institution and then get an MsF from a target school, would this give me a good chance of getting into these highly competitive positions?
You’re a freshman. Relax and keep your 4.0. Look to transfer after Sophomore year. Networking and getting solid internships is a much better use of your time rather than worrying about an MSF.
