Is UIUC CS a target for quant trading?
I want to do quant trading and got into UIUC for CS (engineering college). I plan on minoring in math and statistics. Is this a target school?

The only target for quant is mit, uchicago, etc
Would you say it is a semi-target then?
The above responses are wrong, it definitely is. Jump founders went to uiuc and recruit heavily there, for example.
Go to any trading firm and sort by schools. UIUC is one of the top because of the proximity to Chicago. Have seen a few different head traders and desk heads with UIUC as their school.
That’s a relief, thank you
UIUC is good for CS. National Lab = big shots.
One of the top schools by far, that said always thought more engineering led. If their math program is just as good, hard to get into I would assume it is.
