Macquarie vs Valero Trading Internship?
I have been fortunate enough to receive internship offers from both companies in trading roles. How different would the two roles be and how different of paths would I be put on?
My goal is to eventually be able to get a trading seat at a Vitol or Citadel in commodities.

Conclusion:
Both internships offer valuable experiences, but your choice should align with your long-term career goals in commodities trading. If you prefer a broader exposure, Macquarie might be the better option. If you want to specialize in oil trading, Valero could be more advantageous.

Congrats and bump. Met a lot of the traders at Valero, sounds like a solid internship if you get put on a good desk. Haven’t heard much about Macquarie besides a few friends who went there, didn’t say much about it.
