Modern Analysis

Would appreciate your advice (especially active traders, though insightful undergrads are welcome). Is modern analysis a useful class for trading? I'm pretty interested in stab art and some of the more mathematical types of trading. I know it's a theoretical class, but I'm wondering if at some point the theory would lead to some very applicable results. By the way, for some more background, I'm a double econ/math major at Yale and so far I've taken stochastic calculus, stat inference, PDE's and all the available finance classes (i.e corpfin, options/derivatives, fixed income).

Thanks in advance.

Is that the same thing as Real Analysis? wouldn't you have to take a class like that anyway to get a math major?

yeah, take it

it's not directly applicable to trading, but take it. it's good for the mind bro. Plus, if you bump into some mathy guy on the floor he might be impressed.
