More emphasis on math than cr for S&T/ prop firms?
When BB S&T or Prop Trading firms address SAT scores, do they put more weight on higher math scores? I assume this is the case for these quantitative roles. Let's say I got an 800 math and a CR 650-700. Would this be more impressive than say a 750 split between the two? Additionally, English isn't my native language. I lived in the US for like 9 years before taking the SAT so maybe I might be able to use that as a crutch for my less than baller CR score? Yes, I realize that's quite a bit of time to be immersed in a country and use it to fallback on less than seller CR scores, but I feel like my grasp of the language and ability to articulate myself is still improving every year and this will be noticeable in the interview. Fun fact: I'm not Asian.
SAT isn't a huge factor to begin with, some firms don't even look at it. I think math would be the focal point anyway.
Focus on the maths.
