I narrowed it down to Barclays and DB as well. Now should I base my decision on performance (DB is doing slightly better)? Culture (I liked my time at Barclays slightly better)? Or the structure of the program (DB does a generalist hire whereas Barclays hires by desk? Both banks are going through regulatory/compensation issues so I will cancel that point.

If you want to do fixed income, don't go to MS.

Barclays vs DB...do you know what you want to do in FI? If it's credit/rates, Barclays. If it's fx, DB has a slight edge

Barclays better than DB at Credit and Rates? Where do you guys get this nonsense from? Can see you're just an SA yourself - perhaps best to hold off from making such authoritative statements.

? BarCap is well known across the street as a powerhouse in credit/rates..most of the credit guys are ex-lehman...yes I am an SA but talk to anyone on the street/buy-side and they will tell you.

in terms of DB vs BarCap, i think they're pretty comparable, depends on the culture you think you fit in better.
