New Desk Bonus Expectation?
I'm working for a regional bank on a new hedge sales desk (just recently built out mid last year when I joined, wasn't live trading until 3q25)
Base pay: 90k (1st year analyst, joined mid 2025 so stub year)
I've made pretty significant contributions for a 1st year analyst, primarily because the team is me and an MD in sales. Directly contributed to over $500k in PnL within 4 months since I'm actively selling hedge products to our new book. I've managed the desk on my own as I'm often the only one on the desk when the MD travels so lots of exposure for me as a 1st year.
What can I reasonably expect for a stub year (pro-rated) bonus based on the value I've added but just typical s&t bonus expectations for a regional bank? Is there a number that's too low for a bonus based on the role and my value that I've added?
