noob advice

I'm an econs and finance major who graduates in 2017

1. being a foreigner from a private uni, i cant do any internships. Is there any way to make up for that? I'm starting trading just cuz i find it interesting but dont really want to go in the field of sales and trading professionally. what are the fields where this experience will be useful?.
Also, dummy account of real money?

2. I met up with some of my dad's friends to get a sense of direction career wise and realized after some self reflection that i talk like a fucking moron. For someone like me who has no real world experience how do i not sound/act like a noob in front of such big guns? (i know this ques is stupid but m still sulking from those experiences and the only option i have is to network my way in this industry)
I'm gonna take the interview prep service in my final year, once i find out what is it exactly that i want to do.

Any help is appreciated :)
I have found the content on this site to be extremely helpful, just wanted to thank everyone (:

I’m assuming you’re in the US (your profile says your country is Singapore but for all I know that could be your home country)

1. I don’t know how easy this is to do, but you can definitely intern in the US if you’re here on a student visa. Here’s a link that seems helpful:

And my experience is that investing experience will be very helpful for any position related to the securities your trading. It happened to me more often in interviews for equity market positions than for fixed income, probably because it is easier for the average retail investor to trade equities.

2. I think that only goes away with experience and knowledge.
