NYC Rates Derivatives S&T vs. Asia Equity Derivatives

In the eyes of someone thinking of a long term career in S&T, and without any specific preference to location, which would you suggest?

My assumptions: (that may be questionable)
1. From what I know NYC is all about fixed income whereas in Asia, equities dominate the market.

2. There is a lot of career switching (even in S&T) in NYC whereas in Asia, most people settle in one career (especially in S&T).

PS. I have BB offers for both, and need to choose.
