Online Options trading

Are any of the online brokerage firms more lax about options trading? And if I have to lie about income etc, do you think I would be approved if the money invested in my account was about 10% of annual income and 7% of total assets?

These places gererally want your business. I have used Optionsxpress, and interactive brokers. I have also used velocity futures and global futures for my emini trading. You can lie about your income and net worth but dont fudge it too bad. Been there before its a pain in the ass getting the accounts open. Its even harder finding the broker with the best arrangement for you.

If you are looking to do any sort of writing such as credit spreads, or naked writes you really need to have considerable income and net worth for these strategies.

My personal opinion is to go with Interactive brokers. If you are doing more complex trades with multiples legs you probably will want to go with OX because they can get you filled on the spread in a single order.

I'm basically fucking around, not doing anything too risky. I'm looking at thinkorswim right now and it looks pretty tight, sadly I don't even have the cash to meet the paltry $3500 minimum and I don't have a job because I'm still taking classes (or, a class, fuck you spanish).

you don't think $1000 for lending $900 over 3 months is a deal?

that rate is over 40% annualized... few too many blunts I presume?
