This Tuesday Arte showed this one hour documentary on physical commodities trading. It is one of the few unbiased documentary on commo's ive seen so far... but unfortunately its in French. Since its published by ARTE, I am sure there is a German version of it on the intewebzzz but I did not bother to look around.
Goes on explaining the roots of physical trading, the types of products, logistical challenges, the razor sharp margins and the rather recent issue of speculation and price decoupling from fundamentals due to derivatives trading.
For all the French speakers out there: Enjoy !
For all the others, repeat after me: J'aurais du ecouter Therese, mon ancienne prof de Francais antipathique au lieu de draguer Jennifer pendant les cours.

Sweet! Thanks a million for this. Par contre je regrette rien pour Jennifer !

Actually watched it at work a few days ago, pretty interesting stuff.
Yep I saw it when it was broadcasted. How main actors rule the world... interesting stuff
PS: j'ai jamais eu de Jennifer après le collège (pas besoin d'expliquer..)
