This Tuesday Arte showed this one hour documentary on physical commodities trading. It is one of the few unbiased documentary on commo's ive seen so far... but unfortunately its in French. Since its published by ARTE, I am sure there is a German version of it on the intewebzzz but I did not bother to look around.
Goes on explaining the roots of physical trading, the types of products, logistical challenges, the razor sharp margins and the rather recent issue of speculation and price decoupling from fundamentals due to derivatives trading.
