PIMCO TRADING

Hello everyone, I recently was given an offer at PIMCO as a Public Trading Analyst (for the summer)!! I am extremely grateful to have landed this role as I genuinely thought I wouldn't get the first round Hirevue. With that being said, I really do wanna give this role my all by the time summer rolls around and would love to hear any advice on what I could start doing now to prep for the role. Obviously I do have the basic finance technicals and math skills, but just want to walk in as prepared as I can be. Thank you!

I also had a follow up question.. If I really do enjoy this role for the summer, I know for a fact I will be taking the return offer (that is, if I even get it). However, I was wondering if this experience would allow me to pivot into let's say BlackRock or Vanguard's full time program or even the private side by any chance (as I am aware they usually look for those with banking experience which I would not be getting). I do want to continue under asset management as my goal is to become a portfolio manager, but just wanted to hear everyone's thoughts on this matter. Thanks again!
