Possible to Come Back as a Trader After Leaving?

Hi Everyone. First time posting on the discussion boards so go easy on me!
I'm hoping to get some general advice and hear other people stories about leaving trading for a non trading role but deciding to come back. I'm wondering if its possible to leave and come back. And if it is possible, how difficult did you or someone you know find it to re-enter S&T. I've been a trader for the past 2+years and recently been offered a non trading role at a new company. It's an intriguing role in structured products with some market focus but obviously not as much as trading is. I personally feel that if I step away from trading and decide I want to come back in, it won't be possible or it will be extremely difficult to do so. So any advice or anecdotes on people leaving and coming back into trading would be extremely helpful.
Thanks again!
