Racism in Sales and Trading

There is a systematic racism problem in Sales and Trading.

Looking my trading floors,  more than 80% of risk takers are white male. This number should be reduced to below 50% to give more opportunities to minorities.

Even worse, I observed that when we discussed retention offers for interns, usually white male speak more and speak loud. They usually like other white male interns.

I do think more banks should give minorities more opportunities to be successful.

I wrote email to CEOs of some banks, and heard that they will increase minorities in their employee demographics, especially in senior and leadership positions. We can expect to see more minorities get promoted this year. 
 

Hopefully together we can address the systematic racism problem on trading floors.
