Rank of Desks at GS
What is the rank of trading desks at GS specifically? (Obviously, this is going to be subjective.) Also if you could give a brief reason for the ranking (i.e. historical returns of the desk, the competitiveness of getting on that desk specifically, best exit opportunity, etc.) that would be great. Thanks.

Can you elaborate on the mortgage structuring desks? Is this across resi and commercial? Agency vs non agency?

I'm in PFI at GS and I also work very closely with mortgage structuring guys. I didn't know A1 can clear 300k easily - at least that's not what I heard. Are you talking about the good old times years back where the desks were still allowed to do real exotics stuff?
