RBC S&T Learning Day
So I got an email regarding an invite to RBC's S&T Learning Day which is basically a day-long networking session with people from RBC. It consists of visiting their office for 4 hours and a dinner with individuals from RBC in the evening. The problem is I have a schedule conflict as I should be leaving for college on that day (I have a mandatory B-School orientation the next day). I'm currently a junior with a 3.6 GPA at a semi-target and just completed a private equity internship this summer. Honestly, I've been slacking with networking so I don't have offers yet, and this opportunity seems very likely to lead to an interview or superday. I'm leaning more towards IB as well, but am open to learning more about S&T. Does anyone have any insight on this?

S&T specifically (it's a part of their capital markets group). Also, I know friends that have gotten offers without interviews by going to 2-day programs similar to this in Big 4 consulting. Not sure about investment banks but this seems very similar to those big 4 programs. Probably won't hand out offers but most likely just a huge kick-start into the interviewing process.

Strongly seconding that you prioritize the RBC event over orientation. Orientation lasts a day, this meeting could make your life.
