Recruiting for prop shops
Hi community,
I’m a front office quant at a tier 1 BB (GS/MS/JPM). Been in the industry for 5 years now. Lately I’ve been feeling that the longer I stay on the sell-side, the more difficult it’s gonna get to move to the buy side.
I do get interview calls from hedge funds, AM, etc. but that’s not my preference. I’d rather a prop shop, and hopefully run my own book at some point. But I’ve been having a difficult time getting interviews from prop shops. Are there any headhunters/recruitment agencies specializing in that? Any other advice?
TIA.
