I saw a thread for HK SA positions and thought it would be good to do one for USA SA for S&T. If you go to a target it doesn't matter as much because the firms come to you. We should update this as the recruiting season progresses I'll kick it off:
I go to a non-target. I have applied to every firm online, networked, attended other school's fairs, etc...
So far:
Heard back from RBS that they want to interview me, date not set up yet. Had a first round with GS via phone, waiting to hear back about round 2 / superday. Had a phone interview with Jane Street, got denied round 1. Waiting on everything else.

Sounds like you are on the ball- Curious to know if you networked your way into GS or applied online?
when should you apply online if most banks dont come to your school? i know a lot of them dont accept applications until after jan 1st
I was aggressive in landing an interview for an internship with GS, that is all I will say for now.
Juicyj, I believe I have applied on-line for a summer spot with every bank except for JPMorgan (Need to email application between Jan 1 and Jan 15) and Societe General (internships posted on an immediate need basis).
Are there any other firms you know of that don't accept applications until after jan 1?

It's pretty early right now. Most banks haven't done their presentations yet. I'm at a non-target in the South. I did same the same stuff TradeUp did (networked my ass off, alumni, friends of friends of friends, went to other school's career fairs, connections from last summers internship, cold call). By the way where do you go TradeUp?

Heard back from Goldman today they don't want to invite me up for a superday.
