Should I pursue trading/quant or is it too much

Hi all! I have gone to network at some firms and with students from other universities, and many people tell me that I should try to get into trading or quant, that’s their impression of me. Now, my background is not very mathy, and I was discouraged from maths throughout life by my family due to my gender as well. My UG is in humanities (which I can sense might help in trading to an extent). However, I started doing maths and coding in my own time for fun, which helped me get onto a data science/ML postgrad. I feel like I’m so behind individuals who went hard on maths basically since birth that I should just stick to pursuing other roles, but mathematical modelling and coding is actually really fun to me and I think that trading/quant would feel more rewarding? Should I maybe wait until a couple years into my postgrad programme? To add context I’m not even 21 yet, so it feels like I can turn things around? Any advice welcome.
