SIE Exam

Is anyone that's taken the SIE exam able to give a comparison of the difficulty of it with the study material that you used? Please list the name of the book/resource you used when making the comparison.

I've taken a few practice exams that I found online and did fairly well (>80%) but I didn't pass the practice test on FINRA's website so I was wondering if the practice test that FINRA gives is actually representative of the real exam or if they make it substantially harder.

I used Quizlet Knopman Marks study pack, it was $99. Studied for 3 days straight and passed. In hindsight, $99 is really pricy and there are better materials out there if you put in some research. The pack had an extensive set of flash cards and practice questions.

FINRA's online tests is the most representative but a tiny bit more difficult from what I remember. I used knopman's test bank and that was at least 15% more difficult (70% vs 85% on respective tests)

FINRA's practice exam is definitely the best indicator since they're the ones that write the actual exam questions.

If you're interested in additional study materials, check out Achievable SIE ($74 for the full course including 25+ practice exams).

We have an industry-best 98% first-time pass rate, and our online textbook has a reputation for being much easier to understand.
