SocGen vs Deutsche
If you had offers from both of these banks, which one would you choose? I know Deutsche has more history but in recent years it has been falling.

prob DB if it’s in FICC but idk much about soc gen

depends on product, soc gen has good fx and rates as well as derivatives
Sure DB is memed but truth is they still have strong groups. Easy choice imo
SocGen Rates gets to take a lot of risk...the french banks like to take risk....but you need to speak french to get the bigger promotions (French people are snobs)
One advantage of joining Deutsche is after cutting equities, the risk of landing on a terrible desk is virtually zero, I have heard socgen pay above street bonus though
DB is top 3 for FICC and has been for a long, long time
