Simple question, but how much has compensation at each level changed since this thread was posted? How is it expected to change in the years to come? Any insight from current BB traders?

The average employee leaves finance before ever making director. The average employee who remains in finance does indeed plateau at director. 

There are like an equal number of AVPs, VPs, and Directors sitting around and many fewer MDs.

dont ask me brutha im a prospective monkey. Heard its very seat-dependent tho, and from what I've gathered traders typically build up their track record over 2-5 years before trying to make the transition. Odds are if your a top performer on ur desk you'll have the option open
