Summer Analyst Rotation Significance

So i'm going into a ten week summer analyst rotation in Global Markets at a BB firm where there are two rotations. We get randomly placed into one rotation and then have input on the second rotation. Yesterday I received a call from someone from the firm who came to my school for an info session/networking event. They said that they thought I made a great impression at the event, did really well in the interviews and my resume had skills that related to their department. They are in Loan Syndication and asked if I wanted to be part of their team for this summer. I don't really know the specific divisions of Global Markets, the info online gives different answers, and i'm not sure how well regarded this division of the firm is. Should I just be happy and flattered that this person reached out to me? Does the departments i'm in during the summer impact my chances of getting a full time offer?
