I ask because I want to get into trading and someone left for there after working for 1 year where I am going to be working. So Im trying to get a feel for the exit options I may have.

 

classic example...you cover gse's as a salesman on a rates desk..then you move over to work at the gse's themselves if you want a lifestyle change

 

Generally, the thumb of rule is to do this research on google before ask people. In fact, I did quite a lot of researching, but it seems not many information is available online

 

Just running across your answer so not sure if it's too late at this point but figured I would comment. I used to interact with IA pretty frequently here. I think it would be a good place to get a foot in the door, stay a few years to get experience, and then look into other opportunities here. I'll be honest, there were very few times I was impressed with the IA folks I dealt with but that's not to say I didn't run across some good ones there. I did hear there was a high turnover in that area. Good luck!
