Trading competitions

Hi all !

Aspiring trader here, wanted to know if there are any trading competitions that help you secure internships/ grad offers ? Or any competitions that will look good on your resume if you win to help you secure roles at hedge funds or IBs. Currently in university at the moment. Any feedback will be much appreciated.

It'd be good to have real money in the market if you can. Shows you not only walk the walk, but talk the talk. After multiple summers of saving up and the bull market of 2012 and beyond, I had about $25k and interviewers definitely noticed that. It was a good talking point because I could talk about my ideas then, thoughts on the market, and my blog I had to document my trades.

If you can't do that, upgrade capital is a good option. Competition starts October 3rd. Check them out.
