What is the market value of U.S. equities today?

Please attach link with your answer

Generally speaking just wondering if this refers to the S&P500 or Dow?

Also:

Where could I find the amount of world equity value the U.S. market has?
as well as the U.S. share of world population?

And if I am calculating the dividend yield on the U.S. market today, what I just take the average dividend payout calculated by taking the latest declared dividend (annualized) and divided by the stock price.

Nothing is wrong now that you changed the post and asked nicely for some help and where to find the information rather than just pasted your questions to us verbatim with a command to include links. ;)

The best place to find your answers will likely be here: http://www.world-exchanges.org/

And yes, I think you are correct in how you are figuring out the average dividend. Just ensure that you are using an average dividend that includes companies that did not pay out a dividend or else you will have an upward bias in your results.

Indian banker, the dates on those figures sound inflated and dont take into account the current bear market so definitely would want to check the date on that figure. To the OP probably going to be tough to find a relatively up to date figure.
