Every post that I’ve make on here has lead me to believe that making a jump to the institutional sell side (fixed income) from the physical commodity trading space (3 YOE) is impossible given a lack of transferable skills. However, after networking with industry vets I’ve gotten very positive feedback and have been told that I have great experience and that “once you can trade one product you can trade them all”. What gives?
