Best IB Sector for VC Exit?

Which sector in IBD is the best if I want to go into venture capital after? My initial guesses are things like TMT & maybe consumer goods. What about things like financial sponsors, levfin/DCM?

It will really depend on the type of VC you want to get in. TMT is the obvious choice if possible but not the only one. Consumer isn't too bad for B2C businesses, but Healthcare/Pharma is good for HealthTech/BioTech too. Think about the verticals you like the most/stages you like the most. Your understanding of FIG might be valuable for FinTech, but you can forget about any fancy valuation method you learnt there.

Your fit/BB will matter more than your group as we are just looking for bright people with understanding of financials and operations, hence recruiting from both MBB and IB. You will never do a DCF for a seed company. Show interest and be entrepreneurial in what you do, it will matter more than your group.
