Blackstone Growth Equity recruiting
Hello,
Based on LinkedIn, I see that the BX growth equity team is hiring / expanding. I see the majority of people are coming from banking or growth equity investing. I had two questions if anyone knows any information:
1) Is the recruitment process occurring through headhunters, and if so, which one? 2) Are they hiring consultants? I know BX PE does not, but was wondering since it is growth equity, they were planning to

Interested in BXG now that they poached a fair amount of talent from KKR growth. who is the HH and what is interview like
Interesting to see the KKR guys jump ship. Makes me think these growth equity add ons to the traditional megafund LBO model aren't going as successfully as they had hoped. Wonder if BX growth will suffer the same fate
I’ve heard a few of the seniors were forced out from KKR Growth (that is, the poaching was reactive not proactive). All second hand so who knows but I found it interesting to hear...
do they pay as well as IB/would they be a good place to start out if more interested in traditional PE?
If your end goal is growth equity target the top growth equity funds (Summit/GA/TA/etc.) don't get disillusioned by the fact that it is BX. This is not their bread and butter, & everyone in GE knows that. If you don't want GE better off going for traditional MF PE analyst program or the IB route. Im sure you could transfer from BX GE to MM/UMM (maybe) but would be hard. Its a very different skill set
